Ti Kaye Village was featured on ABC's Good Morning America as the recommended beach resort for Modern Bride's "Romantic Travel Getaway" segment. |

I
started at Ti Kaye Village in September 2003 as a waiter/bartender and
was introduced to a restaurant staff trainer, Jason Welch from Barbados,
who taught us how to upgrade our service by paying attention to details.
He broke it down into phrases:
1. First time table setting
Point 3 came about as a new wine list was introduced. It was in at wine training that I got serious about wines and developed a passion for it. I asked a lot of questions. When he realized that my interest was genuine, I then accompanied Jason and the Executive Chef Paul Yellin to wine tastings organized by Michael Speakman ‘Wine Master at Barbay’. A trip to Barbados was shortly organized by Ti Kaye's owner Nicholas Pinnock who saw potential in me to further my wine education. In Barbados I was trained by a company called ‘Self Proficiency’, where my training ranged from wine lessons to tasting and working in top Restaurants with top wine masters like Peter from The Cliff Restaurant which was rated No. 1 Restaurant in the Caribbean. Inspiration:
~ Was the sun shining or did it rain?
I like how wine continues to evolve; if I open a wine today it would
taste different than from any other day. Because a bottle of wine
is ALIVE and it is constantly evolving and gaining complexity until it
peaks, then its inevitable decline.

The Anse Cochon waterfront is seeing some exciting new changes, among which are the waterside gazebo and the brand new dock. Erected on the volcanic boulders which characterize this side of the bay, the new gazebo, framed by lush green foliage is an ideal location for the exchange of wedding vows, private massage, or sunset drinks. The attractive wooden boardwalk which leads to the gazebo extends to the dock, a 20 foot wide expanse with a draft of 9 feet made of hardy concrete. Ti Kaye owner and hobby boater Nick Pinnock is assured that this latest effort can withstand his mooring maneuvers at the helm. This dock is dedicated to all the docks that have gone before… |

Local green thumb Michel Charlouis has joined the team at Ti Kaye Village Resort as Landscape Manager. To face the unique topographical challenges of the resort's grounds, Michel is putting his years of experience at Sandals Grande
to work. Among his mandates is the installation of a new and
improved herb garden for the use of the Kaye Manje kitchen featuring the
hardy rosemary, aromatic basil and functional celery and chive, among other
herb varieties. The new nursery is overwhelmed with all the new arrivals.
Return guests to Ti Kaye Village Resort will notice some changes both
indoors and out. The approach to the resort features the effervescent
Bougainvillea, dwarf Allamanda and the delightful ground cover, the Portelica
in pinks and whites. Keeping with the theme of blurring indoor and
outdoor at Ti Kaye, the lobby features new brick planters along the retaining
wall overflowing with lush greens and blooming plants; outdoor showers
at each of the resorts 33 rooms have been replanted to with colorful and
hardy tropical blooms like the Ixora, Foxtail and Allamanda to make the
showers lush retreats. Charlouis is excited about the upcoming changes
and says, “I've got the picture all mapped out in my mind.”

In our efforts to do our part, Ti Kaye Village Resort is making some earth conscious changes. We've increased our rain water catchments capacity and have started work on updating our water treatment facility to provide on-property grounds irrigation. You will note also the conversion to energy saving, low wattage L.E.D bulbs. New developments allow for these bulbs to work on a dimmer so that guests don't need to sacrifice the incandescent ambiance of traditional bulbs. Our Housekeeping department is doing its part to cut down on water usage by implementing an ‘every third day’ linen change policy; a policy of course, that is receptive to guest preference. ![]() Returning guests will walk into all new rooms by Christmas. We are updating our linens and furnishings to make Ti Kaye Village rooms even more difficult to leave! |
